Secure Storage and Plant Room

The Brief

Ballast Phoenix were in need of a control room within a busy processing plant. The room had to be sound proof with a sound resistance of 40db.

The Concept

We supplied a 20 x 8ft (6.1×2.4m) steel container lined with plasterboard, stud framing and a double layer of plasterboard along with insulation.
To further reduce sound transmission, the windows were double glazed with the panes a varying thickness to one another.

The Result

A secure and practical control room meeting with industry specified standards.
