A prefabricated and multifunctional space
The Brief
The client requried a modular office within a large workshop with both standard and accessible toilets.
The Concept
A 12m x 16m structure was built, clad with timber cladding to give a modern yet natural finish. Internally, the floor for the workshop was hard standing concrete to allow for heavy plant access.
The Results
A spacious, environmentally sustainable mulit-use building with key bespoke elements.
Accessibility
We had the task of incorporating office space into a large workshop which had both standard & accessible toilets. Access to the workshop was provided by two personnel doors and a sectional door for goods in & out. The workshop has sloped access leading towards the building.
Environmentally Sustainable
As this project was for a government body, part of the non-negotiable specification was for the building to be environmentally sustainable, therefore water and solar harvesting systems were incorporated into the bespoke build.
